The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation is delighted to host the second Chamber Training Institute (CTI) of 2016 on March 24-25 in Austin, TX.

Long recognized as a center of academic excellence, Austin is now a world-renowned capital of creativity and innovation in technology, business, arts and entertainment.

The Chamber Training Institute (CTI) is a program designed with the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, facilitated by Notre Dame faculty, and sponsored by Wells Fargo. USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez said: “The CTI program was created out of the notion that we have a responsibility to develop and empower diverse chamber leaders, providing unique educational opportunities that help them grow and build their local organizations. This benefits not only their small business members, but entire American communities.” USHCC Foundation Chairman Nina Vaca added: “The USHCC Foundation believes that America’s diverse business communities work best when we work together, and that embracing diversity is not just the right thing to do - it's also smart business. In that vein, the training institute was expanded last year to include fellow chamber leaders from the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC); U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC); and National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).” Click HERE for program details.

Since its inception in 2010, CTI has allowed more than 900 leaders from 300 chambers to participate in this free, two-day training, after which they return to their communities to foster the growth and prosperity of their local business members. Participants who attend the program receive a certificate of completion from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business.

“Wells Fargo is committed to helping business owners achieve financial success, grow and create new jobs in their communities,” said Lisa Stevens, head of Small Business for Wells Fargo. “Supporting the Chamber Training Institute is one way we are working to help diverse small business leaders serve their communities more effectively.”

The USHCC Foundation is also hosting a reception in the Stark Center (inside Texas Memorial Stadium) on campus at the University of Texas – Austin, on Thursday, March 24 at 6pm.
