The BizVenture Collegiate Entrepreneurship Competition is an innovative program and pitch competition that empowers college students with knowledge and insight into the world of business. This 3-day concentrated workshop teaches college level students how to establish entrepreneurial and leadership goals, reinforces networking in a professional environment, and emphasizes the importance of completing a higher education. The top three pitches, as determined by a panel of judges, will award $10,000 worth of scholarships.
BizVenture was established in 2016 and held its first competition at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Conference in Miami, Florida last October.
2017 BizVenture Competition Details
The 2017 BizVenture Collegiate Entrepreneurship Competition will be held at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, Texas from Sunday, October 1 - Tuesday, October 3.
Who Should Apply
- Students enrolled in a full time undergraduate program at a recognized college or university in Texas
- Students with an entrepreneurial idea for a startup business
- Owners/founders of a company
Entry and Registration
Interested students must fill out an application. Space is limited to 25 pitches. Interested applicants must apply by June 2017 and will be notified via e-mail in August if they were selected for the competition. Registration is free and all meals and room expenses will be covered by the USHCC Foundation.
The top three pitches, selected by the judges, will awarded $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place, and $2,000 for third place.
